Honey garlic chicken thighs

How to cook it · about 35 minutes

  1. Heat the oven to 400F. Get the rice on.
  2. Dry the thighs with kitchen paper, season them well, and lay them skin down in an ovenproof pan with the oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Leave them alone for 7 minutes. The skin releases itself when it is ready — if it sticks, it is not.
  4. Turn them, then stir the honey, soy, vinegar and sliced garlic together and pour it round, not over, so the skin stays crisp.
  5. Put the pan in the oven for 20 minutes, spooning the sauce over the meat once halfway.
  6. Scatter the sliced spring onions and serve it on the rice with the pan sauce poured over.
