1 tube of caulk remover
1 tube of 100% silicone kitchen and bath caulkSilicone with a mildew-resistant label, white or clear unless told otherwise.
1 bottle of rubbing alcohol

Paint

How it goes · about an hour, then a day to cure · beginner

Cut and scrape out every bit of the old caulk. New silicone does not stick to old silicone.
Clean the joint with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely, overnight if you can.
Run tape a quarter inch above and below the joint to give yourself two clean edges.
Fill the tub with water first so it sits at its lowest, then run one steady bead and smooth it with a wet finger.
Pull the tape straight away, and leave it a full day before anybody showers.
