How it goes · about an hour · beginner

Set the pots on their saucers where they get at least six hours of sun, close enough to the kitchen that you will actually use them.
Fill each pot with potting mix to about an inch below the rim and stir in the plant food.
Plant two herbs to a pot, keeping thirsty ones like basil and parsley apart from dry-loving ones like rosemary and thyme.
Water until it runs out of the bottom, and check them every day in July and August.
