Before you start
Keep the rack at least 20 ft from the house — a woodpile draws termites and pests. Stack it tight and no higher than the uprights so it cannot topple on a child.

Pick a level spot away from the house with sun and a breeze — that is what dries firewood.
Set the four patio blocks in two pairs and check them with the level.
Cut two 2×4s in half for the uprights and screw everything into the brackets as the kit shows.
Stand the rack on the blocks, stack the wood bark side up, and put the cover over the top only.
